Job Hunting Ends Here

Analysts are saying that the economy is on the road to recovery. The house prices have risen, the stock market is going up and with Goldman Sachs and Barclays reporting profits for the second quarter, things are slowly but steadily get back to normal.

These are truly great signs for job seekers as unemployment rates have touched record levels and are beginning to come down. Keeping this in mind, Business Bowl decided to share this unique resource with our visitors: the Job Market Access Center

The interesting thing about the JMAC is that it gives job seekers access to jobs before they are published and to those jobs which are not published at all. With employers trying to save money, it’s all but natural for employers to save money on publishing jobs in the main stream media. Also, JMAC provides a quick an easy way to register with no long forms to fill. Instead, after filling out a form of basic contact information, all one needs to do is copy and paste the resume in a text area and its all done. The JMAC team then analyses the resume free of charge and gets back to you with recommendations for making it better.

So if you’re looking for work or looking to switch jobs, Job Market Access Center has answers for you.

Business Idea: Your very own Online Store

From time to time, people have tried to make easy money off the internet. Some claim to have done so and claim to have made riches. The truth of the matter is, there is NO such thing as making easy money off the internet. Although there are ways to earn a passive income online and if enough time and dedication is put into online efforts, it can yield huge rewards.

Imagine running an online store which portrays your creativity with out the hassle of keeping an inventory, processing orders, taking payments, shipping, customer service and the list goes on and on.......Say hello to Spread Shirt!!!

Spreadshirt.com offers individuals to open t-shirt shops for free where the t-shirts can be custom designed by the shop owner. Every t-shirt has a base price which goes to Spread shirt and then the shop owner decides his or her cut. Lets say the base price of a t-shirt is $10 and you decide your commission to be $5 then the final price of the t-shirt will be $15. When the t-shirts is sold, you earn $5!

Since its inception, Spread Shirt has added a host of new items which can be customized. From T-shirts to dog shirts; from hoodies to neck ties, they have it all. And the list keeps on growing.

The key to selling your items on SpreadShirt is originality. Either you can pick the graphics available on Spread Shirt or choose to add your own. The graphics need to be in vector form which is format in which the graphics don’t loose their sharpness when resized, to put in simple terms. There are a lot of sites that offer royalty free vector graphics which means they are free for commercial use. You would also need a vector graphics editor which you can use to edit your designs before uploading them on to your store. Inkscape is just one free editor. You would need some time to get comfortable using it. Just think of it as an upgraded version of MS paint.

Another important aspect to the success of your store would be its promotion. There are many ways you can do that. Create a facebook page for your store and ask all your friends to join. Submit your store URL to social bookmarking sites such as Digg and Stumble upon. They are a great source for getting people to a page. Posting comments on blogs and forums is also effective as long as you don’t spam.

Overall, Spread shirt is a great way to start earning that extra income that you always wanted. Again, it requires time and effort with a little bit of creativity.

The Next Step in Sports Merchandising

Team-licensed caps, T-shirts and watches may be all very well for the average sports fan, but what of the truly ardent supporter? Working on the assumption that there are enthusiasts out there wishing for bigger and better ways to express their passion, Stadium Associates is now giving fans of the New York Yankees a chance to bring nothing less than a piece of the stadium into their own back yard.

Indeed, Yankees fans can now buy grass seed and sod drawn from the very same farm and crops that have supplied Yankee Stadium for the past four decades. The proprietary sports turf—specially grown for the Yankees by DeLea Sod Farms on an 80-acre farm in Southern New Jersey—features the same 100 percent Kentucky Bluegrass used in Yankee Stadium and "grooms easy and stands tough," in the words of Stadium Associates; "you will never feel a stronger connection with the team or the game than with this Authentic MLB product." Yankees Grass Seed is priced starting at USD 14.99 for a 3 oz. bag, and is available both online and through Yankee Stadium, Yankee Clubhouse Stores, and select Home Depot stores in the New York metro area. Yankees Sod is available through New York Home Depot stores as well as DeLea Sod Farms.

Is there any underestimating consumers' enthusiasm for the teams, artists and performers they love? We think not—nor has their fondness for a good status story and some (still) made here appeal faded at all. For sports teams around the globe, this is one to emulate; for all others: look around you, and be inspired!

Microsoft vs. Google: The battle heats up

Google announced that it will release a free Operating System in 2010. This was some thing people had expected and it was not a question of why Google would do it but when Google does it.

This announcement would have ringed alarm bells at Microsoft which heavily relies on the sales of its flagship Windows Operating System. With Windows Vista, the current version not doing so well, Microsoft really needs to go back to the drawing board to counter Google's threat of entering the OS market.

But Microsoft, although under a lot of pressure, is not a silent player. Microsoft plans to get a piece of the pie which is largely dominated by Google. Yes, web search! Microsoft recently launched Bing, its shiny new search engine which promises to declare Microsoft as a solid contender in the search market. Not only this, Microsoft partnered with Yahoo in a search adverting deal to take on Google which owns 65% market share. According to the deal, Microsoft's Bing search engine will power the Yahoo website and Yahoo will in turn become the advertising sales team for Microsoft's online offering.

Never in the history of these two companies has the battle been so fierce with either one working aggressively to take the lion's share in different markets. May the best company win!

Currency of the Future

China has begun a trial scheme that allows trade with its neighbours to be settled with its own currency, the 'yuan', also known as the renminbi. – bbcworld.com: July 06, 2009

Although the Chinese currency is not freely convertible, it is our belief that the demand for the yuan will go up in the coming years which makes it a a very safe and lucrative long term investment considering China's economic growth.

So go ahead and invest in yuan while its still cheap. You won't regret it!

Business Exchange (beta) by Business Week

Business Week the business magazine has joined the Web 2.0 race by launching Business Exchange. Still in its beta stages, it has already gained a massive following mostly because of the Business Week backing.

Business Exchange is a website where users share content such as articles and blogs related to the business world, which the users themselves put under different categories available or can even add a new category if the ones available do not do justice to the content being submitted.

Users need to get registered first in order to share but can access the content without registering. Registering at Business Exchange also allows users to rate content and even connect with other users to see what content they are submitting and they recommend.

Over all, the site sports a nice, clean look which makes navigation easy. A must resource for the avid business reader.
